Description
This dataset contains results from a high-resolution simulation with a coupled atmosphere-glacier mass balance model. The modelling system consists of the fully dynamical WRF (v.3.6.1) coupled to the Climatic Mass Balance model (CMB). Hourly output of all surface mass balance and surface energy balance fluxes, as well as a large set of other surface variables, are included at 3 km resolution, from September 2003 to November 2013. The results compare well with a large set of surface meteorological and glacier mass balance measurements (see publication for details). This dataset might serve as a high-resolution reanalysis for Svalbard, which can be used for a wide range of applications.
