Description |
This data set consists of two simulations performed with the ocean carbon-cycle stand-alone configuration of the Norwegian Earth System Model (NorESM-OC). The control simulation (NOIIANOC_mr03_ctr2), is run with a constant pre-industrial atmospheric CO2 concentration of 278 ppm, while the hindcast (NOIIANOC_mr03_hist2) follows the observed historical CO2 concentrations. The model, its setup, and the simulations are documented in Schwinger et al. (2016). The model version 1.2 described in this paper differs from version 1.1 used to create the data archived here by small technical updates, and a slightly different salinity relaxation setting in the Southern Ocean. Monthly mean and annual mean output is provided for 1948 to 2013. Daily mean output (selected surface-fields only) is available from 1992 to 2013.
